Benjamin joined the Institute for Production Engineering and Laser Technology at TU Wien in April 2015 after finishing his master in Mechanical Engineering. He specialized in simulation, optimization, and modeling of industrial processes within the publicly funded research project BaMa- Balanced Manufacturing.
Apart from developing models using monitoring data, he was responsible for the design and implementation of numerous software tools, which helped industrial companies to become more efficient both economically and ecologically.
Currently, he works at the Free University Bolzano as a visiting researcher in the group of Prof. Diego Calvanese in order to investigate the application of semantic technology to the manufacturing domain.
